Prof. Dr. Adnan Kabaalioğlu, a 1984 İstanbul University Çapa Medical Faculty graduate, has 40 years of medical experience and 35 years of ultrasound experience. After continuing his academic career at Akdeniz University for 27 years, he worked as the Head of the Radiology Department at Istanbul Medeniyet University Göztepe Training and Research Hospital for 4 years and as the Head of the Ultrasound Section at Koç University Hospital for the following 4 years.

At the beginning of his academic career, he completed a Research Fellowship in Abdominal Interventional Radiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital affiliated with Harvard University and later received training in the Department of Interventional Radiology at Guy's Hospital, University of London.

He became an associate professor in 1997 and gave presentations as an invited speaker at various scientific meetings and congresses both at home and abroad, on ultrasound and especially liver-kidney-spleen-breast-pregnancy ultrasound, testicular and thyroid ultrasound, hydatid cyst and fascioliasis diagnosis and treatment. He worked as a faculty member at the “Abdominal US” course at the University of Pavia in Italy for 10 years and at the “US Summer School” in Constanta for the last 11 years.

Prof. Dr. Adnan Kabaalioğlu, during his 35-year academic career, has contributed to the medical and radiology education of hundreds of Turkish and foreign students and residents, has prepared more than a hundred international and national publications, and has won the Philips Radiology Award of the Turkish Radiology Association, Honorary Membership and the "Gheorghe Jovin" award of the Romanian Ultrasound Society, especially for his contributions to the ultrasound findings of the disease "Fascioliasis".

He has extensive experience especially in thyroid-testis-liver-bile duct-kidney-breast ultrasound and ultrasound scanning in pregnant women and interventional procedures for diagnosis and treatment of these organs.
